You’ll no longer be able to trade with your buddies in FIFA Ultimate Team (Read Below).

Following EA’s decision last month to ban all coin trading in FIFA Ultimate Team, the publisher has now opted to remove the Trade Offers feature entirely.

Trade Offers allowed players to trade cards with friends directly and not through the auction system. Going forward, this won’t be an option, the developer explained in a forum post.

“Although some honest players used this feature to trade with friends, it became one of the methods used by coin sellers to sell and move coins. Account phishers also abused Trade Offers by moving stolen players and coins after wrongfully gaining access to unsuspecting FUT player accounts,” the post read.

The maximum number of Transfer Targets will now be set to 50 player items, meaning you’ll be allowed to have up to 50 outstanding player bids at any one time.

For added security, EA will now require you to verify your Origin account before you can access the Ultimate Team web app. You can find out more about this feature and how to activate it through here.

The developer added that this was a “tough decision” and was devised to address things like “bid bumping.”
