Steam has followed through on plans to introduce support for the Canadian Dollar.
Steam has emailed Canadian members to advise them that local currency support kicks in on October 7.
The emails have been widely circulated; you can see one example on NeoGAF.
Some Canadian users don’t seem super pleased about the news; like Australia and Europe, Canada often gets slogged with a “location tax”, with game and tech prices running higher than currency conversion with the US and UK explains.
The Canadian Dollar was one of 12 new local currencies announced for Steam this year.
