The action-adventure RPG has been criticised in some previews for having slow character movement, as well as the way it handles death and experience points.

“We don’t believe that this game is to slow or too fast for anybody because you can adjust quite easily the way that you move,” said the developer.

In the video CI Games highlights that the weight of the playable character dictates its speed. Heavy armour and weapons will make the character move and attack slowly, as well as evade in a straight line.

Lighter equipment will give the character a great jump distance, quicker attacks and an evasion roll that circles an opponent. The video also highlights that the weight of weapons and armour are independent, meaning players can move slowly but still use quick attacks.

The video also addresses what happens to player experience when you’re killed: the higher the multiplier at the time of death, the slower your ghost will leak experience.

But more importantly, once a player is in close proximity to the ghost, he or she will receive a buff to regeneration, energy and magic. This way the player can choose to not pick up the dropped experience immediately but use the buff to best the enemy that caused the death previously.

Watch the video below to also see how armour sets relate to play style and some discussion on the length of the game, which can clock in anywhere between 15 and 50 hours.
